Banks never ask their customers to provide their username, password, or credit card numbers through e-mails.

User ID and password should not be parted with for any purpose other than transaction.

Never click any link given inside the e-mail message.

Directly type the URL of your Bank in address field of browser.

If you do not know the URL of our bank's website, take time to call the Bank immediately to find out.

Our bank's URL is as under :

         https://www.centralbankofindia.co.in
         https://www.centralbank.net.in

Check the language and spelling of the text contained in the e-mail.

If you find misspelled words or substandard language, conclude that it is not from bank.

If the e-mail urges to act immediately without delay, failing which your account will be closed down may be a tool to create panic.

Never provide your personal information to anybody, come what may.

Bank will never seek Log-In, Password or any personal information on Phone or e-mail.

Do not respond to such request.

These may be phishing traps.

Various instances of financial frauds are reported in the country on account of fake phone numbers published by fraudulent persons in various fake websites as the customer care number of Banks / Financial Institutions. It seems that fraudulent customer care number is being shown to the public on Internet Search Engines, which are misleading people and making them vulnerable to financial frauds.

In order to avoid such frauds, Customers / Public are requested not to depend on the contact numbers obtained through internet search for any banking activities with Central Bank of India. The contact numbers published on Bank's official website www.centralbankofindia.co.in should only be used for contacting the Bank in case of need. Also to ensure that confidential information like user id, password, PIN, OTP, credit/debit card details etc. are not to be provided / disclosed to anybody.
